Jack Kirby

Thor v1 #166, 1969 - Lady Sif is kidnapped by the powerful man-child known as Him (later named Warlock). Thor and Balder follow them to another dimension where a battle ensues. Consumed by warrior madness, the thunder god fights in a blind rage. Mostly drawn in four-panel grids, Jack Kirby's artwork is full of action. Three splashes are interspersed for pacing and dramatic effects. As usual, his drawings are bold and compelling. Note that this is Warlock's second appearance, after debuting in the previous issue. This is 42 of 54 Thor issues by Kirby.
