Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Shiver of Christmas Town will kick off with the reveal of Doctor Finkelstein's latest creation, which doesn't go anywhere close to as planned. "The disappointed scientist hands the newcomer over to Sally for safekeeping, who dubs it Shiver for its freezing breath. When Lock, Shock, and Barrel decide to "borrow" Shiver along with some other items from Doctor Finkelstein's laboratory, they set in motion what will surely be Christmas Town's most unforgettable Halloween yet. Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Shiver of Christmas Town marks just the latest The Nightmare Before Christmas comic to be published by Dynamite Entertainment in the past year. In June, fans got their first look at Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Long Live the Pumpkin Queen Graphic Novel by writer Liz Marsham and artists Alessio Petillo and Ismael Canales, which itself was adapted from Shea Ernshaw's 2022 novel of the same name.
