The Spawn Universe is about to reach the third in a line of matching milestones that fans have been enjoying for months.
Image Comics has unveiled the full cover gallery for the upcoming The Scorched #50 by writer Todd McFarlane and artists Stephen Segovia and Carlo Barberi. The issue follows hot on the heels of Gunslinger Spawn #50 and King Spawn #50, released in December and October, respectively, and which comprise Image Comics' 50/50/50 Project.
While The Scorched #50 will mark the culmination of the 50/50/50 Project, the nearly two months between each title have left some fans wondering if things weren't meant to come together in a less staggered fashion. That being said, the fact that The Scorched #50 is only weeks away more than makes up for any hypothetical snags that the 50/50/50 Project hit along the way.

The official solicit synopsis for The Scorched #50 from Image Comics reads, "four years ago, Todd McFarlane launched the first large-scale expansion of the Spawn Universe with King Spawn #1. Now we are here to celebrate the success of the expanded Spawn's Universe with THE SCORCHED #50."
The solicit continues, "Part 3 of an oversized issue with a story that crosses over into all three of the #50's that came out in the past months. (King Spawn, Gunslinger Spawn, The Scorched). The startling conclusion for this epic event is finally here. The battle rages on, and the final reveal will have Spawn fans talking for years to come. Scorched #50 leaves the Spawn Universe forever changed!"
What to Expect From The Scorched #50 and the 50/50/50 Project
The Scorched premiered back in 2022 with the release of the series' first issue, which brought together a whole team of infernal heroes for the very first time. At its core, The Scorched consists of She-Spawn, the second Medieval Spawn, the Gunslinger Spawn, Redeemer, and the Reaper. The Scorched have also worked closely with Al Simmons himself, particularly during the events of the Dead Zone War.
Spawn creator Todd McFarlane recently opened up about things to come as the 50/50/50 Project nears its conclusion in The Scorched #50, stating, "this anniversary issue finishes up the story running through both King Spawn #50 and Gunslinger Spawn #50 and will upgrade and introduce us to a new Hellspawn villain."
McFarlane added, "This story will involve one of the MAIN characters in the Spawn Universe mythology as the Rogue's gallery of Spawn's enemies continues to grow."
The Scorched #50 from Image Comics goes on sale February 25.
