LAS VEGAS, NV (April 16, 2026) – The ultimate frenemies are back on the big screen as Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass hits theaters September 9, Viva Kids announced during CinemaCon. Based on the iconic characters from Hanna-Barbera, now part of the Warner Bros. legacy, Tom and Jerry find themselves having to play their own cat-and-mouse games in the latest film installment.

When legendary rivals Tom and Jerry collide during a high-speed chase through New York’s Metropolitan Museum, they unleash a mythical compass, opening a vortex that hurls them into an ancient, dazzling metropolis lost in time. Dropped into this dangerous world, Jerry is pulled into the orbit of a cunning crime lord while Tom is mistaken for a divine messenger. To survive, Tom and Jerry must outsmart their enemies and finally work together to make it home.

Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass is written and directed by Gang Zhang, rated PG, and runs 94 minutes. Warner Bros. China appointed Beijing-based Blossoms Entertainment to develop and oversee sales for the film, which Viva Kids acquired earlier this year.

Also upcoming from Viva Kids is The Last Whale Singer in theaters June 5. A coming-of-age story about a young whale who must overcome self-doubt and find his voice to protect the ocean he calls home. The Last Whale is written and directed by Reza Memari, co-directed by Steven Majaury & Pavel Hrubos. The film is rated PG and is 90 min.
