This miniseries focuses on what happened to Gabriel Summers (aka Vulcan)–the lost brother–after the space epic “Rise and Fall of the Shi’ar Empire.”
In the wake of that tale, Havok, Rachel Grey, and Lorna Dane have joined the Starjammers, and they lead a revolt against the new Shi’ar Emperor: Vulcan.
It’s five issues long and ends at the same place it began. The revolution fails, Lilandra flees, and Vulcan swears he will hunt down Xavier if the Professor protects her.
I’m not a huge fan of most “X-Men in space” stories, and this one is not an exception. It’s not bad, it’s just not novel or particularly interesting.
