Tom Hardy’s future on MobLand is now in question as reports point to growing tension behind the scenes of the Paramount+ series.
Early claims said Hardy had been fired. A source close to the production told The Hollywood Reporter that no final decision has been made. The same source confirmed there have been ongoing clashes between Hardy and producers, including executive producer Jez Butterworth and the team at 101 Studios led by David Glasser.
The report describes repeated delays tied to Hardy’s behavior on set. The source said the actor stayed in his trailer for hours at a time, slowing production and frustrating others involved in the show.
“He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time,” the source said. The same source claimed Hardy also had issues with co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, both widely respected in the industry.

“He kept the cast waiting, which is a power play. Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager,” the source added.
The situation raises concerns for the future of MobLand, which has not yet been renewed for a third season. Production for a new season would begin in September if the show moves forward. That timeline leaves little room for ongoing conflict.
Paramount+ has not issued a public statement on Hardy’s status. The lack of clarity adds pressure on the studio as it weighs both the show’s future and the risks tied to keeping a major star amid reported production issues.
