Absolute Batman #15 Returns For Third Printing

The story that officially introduced fans to the true nature of the Absolute Universe's reinterpretation of the Clown Prince of Crime was instantly regarded as one of the smash-hit series' strongest chapters yet. In fact, the reception was so strong, it has already headed back to comic book stores in a new edition.

Absolute Batman #15 Receives Its Second Reprint

Acclaimed comic book writer and main Absolute Universe overseer Scott Snyder shared some exciting news for fans of his popular series on social media. Absolute Batman #15 has come back for its third printing.

Included in the author's post are two images, including a preview of the redesign for Nick Dragotta's main cover art, featuring a new take on the comic's official logo with "Absolute" and the Bat Symbol in purple and "Batman" drawn in green, as an apparent homage to the Joker's traditional color scheme. The other is an additional variant cover boasting the stunning image of the Dark Knight in hand-to-hand combat with a monstrous Absolute Joker.

The larger-than-life, demonic true form of the wealthy aristocrat otherwise known as Jack Grimm V officially made his terrifying debut in Absolute Batman #15, which provides an unsettling origin story for Bruce Wayne's top rival as told to the vigilante by Absolute Alfred Pennyworth. The landmark issue is illustrated by guest artist Jock, who previously worked with Snyder on their frightening Image Comics horror series, Wytches.

Absolute Batman #15 was originally released in Dec. 2025 to immediate critical and commercial acclaim for its unique and engaging means of tracing Absolute Joker's lineage (or impossibly extensive lifetime, based on Pennyworth's immortality theory) through Jock's gorgeously demented artwork. The first reprint went on the market only two months later, on Feb. 11, 2026.

Multiple Absolute Batman Issues Have Been Reprinted

Absolute Batman #15 is certainly not the first issue of the smash-hit series to receive the reprint treatment. In fact, it is only the latest chapter to return to comic book store shelves within the same year.

For instance, the 10th printing of the premiere issue of Absolute Batman went on sale earlier in 2026. The debut of Bruce Wayne's younger, working-class counterpart was first unleashed onto the world in Oct. 2024 and was quickly followed by the Absolute Universe iterations of Superman and Wonder Woman.

The hit one-shot Absolute Batman: Ark M #1 also returned for its third printing earlier in June 2026. Written by Snyder and Frank Tieri, the special issue that offers an inside look at the origins of the eponymous, sinister experimental program and Absolute Joker's connection to it was only first released in January of that year.

DC Comics recently put out another landmark issue of Absolute Batman with its 21st chapter, which also features an instantly iconic appearance by Absolute Joker. The issue concludes with Jack Grimm V and Bruce Wayne finally coming face-to-face in a spine-tingling confrontation that changes the course of the hero's arc, while also brilliantly honoring the traditional dynamics of the hero-villain duo.

Absolute Batman #15's third printing is now available where comic book stores are sold.
