DC Comics is about to give fans the horror-fueled anthology they had no idea they needed, and it sounds absolutely spooktacular.
DC Comics recently unveiled the publisher's next one-shot anthology special in the form of DC's Quoth the Raven... Whatever #1. The upcoming issue will feature a whole host of stories from some of the most critically acclaimed creators of today, as told by some of DC Comics' most terrifying heroes.

The official solicit synopsis for DC's Quoth the Raven... Whatever #1 from DC Comics reads, "Welcome, foolish mortals. What To Expect From DC's Quoth the Raven... Whatever
While the characters at the heart of DC's Quoth the Raven... Whatever #1 is, all decidedly different from one another; there is no denying the fact that they all have at least a few chilling characteristics in common. As such, it comes as no surprise that they have frequently crossed paths with one another and even fought alongside each other as members of teams like the Justice League Dark.
Of course, DC's Quoth the Raven... Whatever #1 is hardly the only hotly-anticipated anthology DC Comics has to offer this year, and surprisingly, it may not even be the most exciting of the bunch. Following the overwhelming success of last year's DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool and this year's DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man, DC Comics is set to collect both issues in a brand-new hardcover release that will also include a couple of stories that have never been seen before in print.
Set to arrive in stores on September 8, the DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Stories hardcover gives readers access to every single story found in both DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool and DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man. The hardcover collection will also include DC/Marvel: The Flash/Fantastic Four and DC/Marvel: Supergirl/Blade, which will have only been available in their original digital, vertical-scrolling format before the release of DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Stories.
DC's Quoth the Raven... Whatever #1 from DC Comics goes on sale on Sept. 30.
