Fightin' Marines v2 #12, 1953 - The last of his sectional covers, Matt Baker's largest panel seems much too crowded for the scene. Depth and perspective are limited given the smaller space. The drawing itself, along with its smaller counterparts to the left, generally falls just below expectations. Other artists in this golden age war comic include Gene Colan and John Tartaglione. Note that this is the last St. John issue before being taken over by Charlton.
