Growing up in rural Iowa as a reluctant reader, it all changed when he started reading the original Fantastic Four by Lee/Kirby. Now Austin can't stop reading. He has written about comics for Comic Book Yeti and he has also written tons of indie comics, best known for Big Guns Stupid Rednecks.

The King of Monsters is back with a thrilling new redesign. This new version of Godzilla appears to be ablaze, with bright red scales across his body.

Marvel showcased this new Godzilla redesign in the new Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse #1 preview. From the creative team of writer Gerry Duggan (Deadpool, X-Men) and artist Javier Garrón (Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Avengers), featuring Doctor Doom traveling the multiverse to recruit people to help him take on Knull, and Godzilla. Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse is the third in a trilogy of series, the previous two series being Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe and Godzilla: Infinity Roar.

Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse #1 's official solicitation reads: "GODZILLA UNLEASHED, nowhere is safe! An unholy alliance between KNULL and GODZILLA conquers UNIVERSE 616 — and now DOOM, SPIDER-MAN, KANG, EMMA FROST, GHOST RIDER, THE PUNISHER, MAN-THING and more stand on the edge of annihilation! When DOOMSTADT rips across dimensions to capture a kaiju capable of stopping the KING OF THE MONSTERS, the team collides with MECHA FIENDS, MULTIVERSAL KAIJU and a deadly RED SKULL in ADAMANTIUM armor. But as universes burn, an unexpected ally may hold the key to survival. A bombastic, continuity-shaking launch that shreds the Multiverse in TRUE KAIJU-CRUSHING FASHION!"

The Avengers of Doom consists of Man-Thing, The Punisher, The Human Torch, Emma Frost, Kang the Conqueror, Kagelmacher, Miles Morales, and Ghost Rider (all from different universes). The universe-hopping in this trilogy has been met with enjoyment by fans. Dr. Doom leading a team of Avengers is a truly original concept.

Godzilla has been making appearances in plenty of comic collaborations. Sonic the Hedgehog X Godzilla, The Horror of Godzilla, the Godzilla vs America series, and Justice League vs King Kong vs Godzilla are just a few comic titles the character has appeared in. Toho, which was extremely protective of the license for a long time, seems to finally be loosening its reins on the character, causing fans to speculate on what crossover could be next.

Over the years, Godzilla has appeared inside the pages of a comic at every major North American comic book publisher. Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, IDW, and Legendary Comics have previously published Godzilla. He has also appeared in comics from several different Japanese manga publishers.

Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse #1 will be available on July 22, wherever comic books are sold, while Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe and Godzilla: Infinity Roar are currently available.
