These two issues were exactly what you’d expect: A bunch of aspiring artists getting to draw 5-10 page scripts by established Marvel writers. Some of them are big names, too. Like Bendis. Hickman. Yost. Peter David. You can see from the creator list below–Marvel didn’t throw trash writers at this project. Most of the artists inked their own work, but they also put Terry Austin on the job here. Again, Marvel didn’t spare expense for these up-and-coming artists. The stories largely are outside of continuity (but may/may not still be canon) and definitely don’t matter. I’m not going through the character tagging process because there are probably 75-100 heroes and villains across these issues and, again, I’m not sure these stories are even canon. It’s nice to give these artists a spotlight, but as a reader it’s just kinda meh. Notable: These issues do have some early work by a few big names: Matteo Scalera, Gabriel Hernandez Walta, and Paul Davidson. All of them went on to bigger things at Marvel and elsewhere. Those artists for whom this was an actual big break are included under the creator tag. Those who didn’t get to do more aren’t tagged.
