Marvel and DC Comics' latest hit crossover anthology is finally getting the collected edition fans weren't expecting, and they couldn't be more excited about its release.
As noted by writer Scott Snyder on Twitter, the hit Doctor Strange/Constantine crossover story, "A Magician Walks Into a Universe," is about to be reprinted alongside more than a dozen other fan-favorite tales from the past year in DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Adventures. This brand-new hardcover will collect both DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool #1 and DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man #1 for the very first time, along with a couple of other stories that have never been printed before.
Between the stories found in the pages of DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool #1 and DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man #1, DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Adventures will mark the very first print editions of DC/Marvel: The Flash/Fantastic Four and DC/Marvel: Supergirl/Blade. Previously, these latter crossover titles were only available in their original digital, vertical-scrolling versions.
What To Expect From DC and Marvel's Next Major Crossover Event
The official solicit synopsis for DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Adventures from DC Comics reads, "In DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora, chaos meets calculation as Gotham’s Dark Knight teams up with Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth, in a tale so mind-bending you’ll think you’re in a dream! Plus, icons collide in DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man, by Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez! When journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker find themselves chasing the same story, the conspiracy they uncover could change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it."
The solicit text continues "Accompanying these two main features are short stories from top-tier talent including Tom King and Jim Lee pairing Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson, Gail Simone and Belén Ortega telling the tale of Power Girl meeting Punisher, the Eisner Award-winning team of Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo teaming up Nightwing and Wolverine (Laura Kinney), and many more pairings from some of the top writers and artists in comics today!"
DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool #1 was released in 2025 and marked the second of two new crossover anthologies published that same year. These were followed shortly after by DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man and Marvel/DC: Spider-Man/Superman, which continued the new trend of two-part crossover anthologies featuring some of both publishers' most iconic characters.
In January, ICv2 unveiled its official list of the bestselling comic books of 2025, which was completely dominated by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta's Absolute Batman, which claimed 15 of the top 31 spots on the chart. Perhaps even more surprisingly, Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 and DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool #1 took the number one and three spots on the list, respectively, proving just how many fans of both publishers support their collaborative efforts.
DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Adventures from DC Comics goes on sale on Sept. 8.
