Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 (by Marguerite Bennett, Andrew Lee Griffith, Joshua Jensen, and Ed Dukeshire) drops readers right into the middle of the eponymous heroes' first mission in years. When the villainous Rita Rabiosa rears her head, the only member of the original team who stayed behind in Angel Grove sends out the call for help from his old teammates. While they are quick to arrive, Trini just so happened to bring her infant daughter Minh along for what will be her first, or rather second, Morphinomenal adventure.

The Power Rangers Have Returned For A New Era

The new series was previously previewed in Comics Giveaway Day 2026: Power Rangers #0, which also offered readers a glimpse at the worlds of BOOM! Studios' next franchise entries, Power Rangers Unlimited and Power Rangers: Green.
While Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 is indeed Minh's comic book debut, this isn't the first time that fans of the franchise have seen her. Minh was originally introduced in 2023's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th anniversary special, which saw several members of the classic lineup come out of retirement to face off against the villainous Robo-Rita Repulsa. The special not only saw Minh learn the truth about her mother's demise at the hands of Robo-Rita, but also saw her take up Trini's former mantle as the Yellow Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and ultimately avenge her death.
