Wedding days are shining examples of pure joy and love on full display for everyone present to share in the excitement. Titan Books is keeping PRIDE season and love alive with their latest release.

It’ll take a professional to bring a wedding crashing down, and where there’s a will, there’s money to pay to keep the happy couple from walking down that aisle. Worst Man by Brandt&Stein, the Eisner and GLAAD-nominated creative talents behind DC’s Harley Quinn, together. Meet comics’ newest celebrity crush, Radcliffe Raleigh; unfortunately, the book is titled after him!

After losing love and getting left at the altar, Radcliffe has no choice but to turn his frustration into a franchise and become a professional “worst man”; he’s the guy you go to when you want to break things up. That’s just what Valentina McElligott, the Mother of the Bride and a cutthroat tech mogul, has hired Rad to do. He’s got thirty-two hours before the momentous occasion, and the price for failure is death.

Rad’s got his work cut out for him, especially if he’s to prevent these nuptials from happening before the first slice of cake is cut, or it’s his neck. It’s simple, right? But it all gets thrown up in the air when he meets the all-too-brawny Best Man, and suddenly he’s not so sure if he’s on the right side. There’s more here than meets the eye. What is Valentina really up to, and more importantly, who has designed the wedding dress?

In the style of a romcom, but with a slightly darker edge and twist to it, Worst Man is a witty, spirited, and comedic illustrated journey. It’s impossible not to imagine Radcliff Raleigh jumping off the page and into a series of madcap adventures after this story. If he survives, that is. Worst Man has all the personality you’d come to expect from Brandt&Stein and will leave you hopeful that love triumphs over all.

Like a Disney cartoon gone hilariously wrong, Worst Man is charmingly illustrated and captures the satirical style of the dark rom-com it’s set in and paces with it. Every image is like a movie still, and this graphic novel begs to be translated into animation, but if you have as wild an imagination as Brandt&Stein, you just need to dive right in and treasure every panel.

If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, don’t wait! You don’t want to be the only one not talking about this hilarious (and yes, dark) graphic novel that is guaranteed to be the perfect ice-breaker at brunch. Written by the Eisner and GLAAD-nominated team of Brandt&Stein, once you turn the first page, you won’t want to put it down, waiting with bated breath for the unbelievable outcome.

Worst Man by Brandt&Stein hits retail on Aug. 25th and is published by Titan Books Ltd. Reserve your copy now.
