G.I. Combat v1 #88, 1961 - Aside from a WWII sniper's bullet unable to make a hole of that size, it's a decent cover concept. Joe Kubert gets the message across by keeping the design simple. The green GI helmet against a reddish sky also helps. Still, this effort is not at the level of his other silver age war books.
