Matt Fraction is about to start an absolutely amazing Hawkeye series featuring both original (Clint) and new jack (Kate) and Alan Davis is … Alan Davis. So, my expectations are high going into this issue.
Kate and Eli are on a “not date” carriage ride in Central Park where Kate is giving Eli the “I just wanna be friends” treatment when the buggy driver reveals himself as Ronin and tells Kate she’ll need to prove her abilities tomorrow.
When she arrives, she finds Clint Barton. Alive.
Kate’s got his old bow, and now that he’s alive, he wants it back. But he agrees to train her with her own, new bow.
What we’re seeing is the beginning of Clint’s mentorship of Kate.
In the end, Patriot agrees to give her time to figure things out.
