In prison and depowered, Quicksilver hallucinates about his past and “talks to” people who have been important to him, notably Wanda and Layla.
Layla Miller tells him he doesn’t actually need the Terrigen Mists and he discovers he’s right–his powers are permanently restored.
Not sure what this means, but I’m sure Peter David will explore it in upcoming stories. Or, at least, I hope he will.
