Marvel Studios is treating fans to several new announcements at the New York Comic Con. One will be a treat for Spider-Man fans.
While Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day has yet to hit theaters, there are more projects surrounding the beloved web-slinging superhero. One of them includes Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which premiered on Disney+ earlier this year on Jan. 29. Per Variety, Marvel Animation has confirmed Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will return on Disney+ in the fall of 2026.
Alongside the announcement, Marvel Animation treated fans in the room to the first trailer. The Season 2 first look teased the introduction of a major villain: the Venom symbiote, teased in the finale, as well as Gwen Stacy. It will also bring back Charlie Cox's Daredevil.
Among other returning characters are Norman and Harry Osborn, as well as villains like Doctor Octopus, Chameleon and Scorpion, and the emergence of Nico Minoru’s magical powers.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has Hudson Thames voicing Peter Parker and his alter ego. The show takes place in a separate universe from the current MCU and Tom Holland's Spider-Man, although the initial plans were to keep them in the same universe. While there are some similarities between the two, there are even more differences.
The web-slinger's mentor is not Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, the way it is in the MCU, but Norman Osborn, who is voiced by Colman Domingo. Unlike previous entries, where he is the Green Goblin, this version of Norman Osborn is CEO of Oscorp and gives Peter and his pals internships. However, there are many reasons to doubt him.
Peter Parker's friends aren't Zendaya's MJ and Jacob Batalon's Ned, but Harry Osborn (Zeno Robinson) and secret witchcraft user Nico Minoru (Grace Song). The show's voice cast includes Eugene Byrd as a young version of classic Spider-Man villain Tombstone, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, MCU star Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May, Aleks Le as Amadeus Cho and Jonathan Medina as the villainous Scorpion.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Divided the Critics & Audiences

Although the show gave fans a different Spider-Man, not everyone was thrilled with it. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man boasts a near-perfect score from the critics, with a fantastic 97% rating and a Certified Fresh badge. The reviews praised the "wholesome aesthetics of the webslinger's original comic run," but embraced the "fresh plot wrinkles."
However, audiences disagreed. Season 1 has an unimpressive 62% rating from the audience, which is still good enough for a positive badge. While some of the most recent reviews are encouraging, many viewers believe the new take on the popular character "totally misunderstands" Peter Parker.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man returns with Season 2 in the fall of 2026.
