Jack Kirby

Fantastic Four v1 #25, 1964 - With Reed Richard fallen ill, the rest of the FF must stop the ol' greenskin's rampage through New York City. This battle between the Hulk and Thing is only the second (see FF #12 for the first). Jack Kirby provides a fast-paced, action-filled adventure. Unfortunately, his artwork doesn't quite rise to the challenge. George Roussos' passive inks take the gravitas out of the story pencils. This is 25 of 116 Fantastic Four issues by Kirby.
