Another of Goosebumps creator R.L. Stine's hit horror anthologies is about to come to life on the small screen.
Per a press release from Limestone Animation, R.L. Stine's Stinetinglers is officially being developed as the studio's very first project. Like past entries from the ongoing horror anthology series it is based on, R.L. Stine's Stinetinglers will bring audiences to the seemingly idyllic small town of Blooming Hills, where all manner of menacing monstrosities and shadowy forces toil away in the dark before unleashing a whole world of horror upon the local teenage population. Besides being Limestone Animation's first production, R.L. Stine's Stinetinglers will mark thefirst of the acclaimed author's works to be developed exclusively in an animated format.
"Animation is the perfect medium to tell the twisted tales of Stinetinglers," said Stine himself of the upcoming series. "These spooky stories will be brought to life in a way unlike any of my work before. But more than that, I was blown away by the unique spin the team at Limestone Animation proposed and I immediately knew they were the right partners to bring to screen my newest stories. My lips are sealed, but I can't wait for the world to see what they have in store!"
Limestone Animation co-founders and co-CEOs Sean Connolly and Donny MacIntyre released a joint statement reading, "We're honored that R.L. Stine has trusted us with his latest book series. Stinetinglers is the perfect project to launch our studio with because it represents everything we want Limestone Animation to be: the home of creative storytelling that is bold, imaginative, and designed to bring audiences of all ages together." Connolly and MacIntyre added, "There's nothing like a little spooky fun to unite generations."
Published by Feiwel and Friends/Macmillan, Stinetinglers is the latest horror anthology from R.L. Stine. The first volume of the series was released in August 2022. Since then, three more volumeshave been released, the latest of which arrived in stores just months ago.
