Sgt. Rock's Prize Battle Tales / DC Special Series v1 #18, 1979 - Though digest sized, this comic reprints some of the best DC war stories from previous decades. Two excellent works by Joe Kubert are showcased, specifically from Star Spangled War Stories #150 (Enemy Ace) and Our Army at War #124 (Sgt. Rock). Equally superb is a haunting Alex Toth tale from Weird War Tales #10. Kubert's painterly new cover is a bonus. Other artists in this bronze age digest include John Severin and Mort Drucker.
